Item 1:

Yesterday I went to Fargo to take part in the 40 Days for Life kick-off. I was able to get a ride with some friends, and we played Irish music in the van on the way (an interesting experience to be sure), as well as when we were waiting for mass. I love going to mass at Saint Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. It’s nice to see altar servers who know what they’re doing. :)

Item 2:

I’ve joined the Catholic Illustrators’ Guild, one of my favorite blogs, and the online haunt of all of my favorite Catholic illustrators.

Item 3:

Go check out the late Nujabes, an awesome Japanese Hip-Hop artist.

That is all. Carry on at your leisure.

Yesterday I found myself if a cafeteria lined with class photos dating back to the late 40′s. Why do we always let ourselves be out-dressed by the past?

On the bright side, all of the bugs are dying.

Just an idea I had today. Maybe it will catch on. ;)

The lens I used was taken from a disassembled video camera.

Ooh look, it collapses and can be stuffed into a neat  little sleeve. :3

The other day my dad and I stumbled upon the UK band “Lucky Elephant“. (I don’t mean that we physically tripped over the musicians, I mean that we…oh nevermind.)

Anyway, this band has some awesome music. I especially like their songs “Edgar“  and “Reverend Tisley & His Magic Lantern” (Both  of which have really neat music videos).

All the lyrics are in English, but are sung with a strong French accent, which makes everything 67% cooler.

This is for all of my compatriots who have selflessly put themselves in harm’s way for the sake of my safety and well being.

(The pose here is inspired by some of Regan Lodge’s drawings.)

(That’s a tree next to some water, in case it’s not obvious.)

I finally cracked and decided to learn how to make my own brushes in GIMP.

All of a sudden, Gulley Jimson from the Horse’s Mouth is right there in front of me on the pages of my sketchbook.

There’s a piece of paper in between the platen and the lamp, which I later decided to remove.

NOM NOM NOM

A fun little set I got today. If you’re a LEGO nerd like me, You’ll be exited to know that this set contains part No. 48729 in LIGHT BLUISH-GREY! (Eight of ‘em.) I’ve been waiting for this element in this colour for a while. So long, in fact, that I’ve forgotten what it was I needed it for.
